New Maisonneuve Library

Following the architectural competition for the expansion of the library located in the former Hôtel de Ville de Maisonneuve, the firm EVOQ architecture was entrusted with the realization of this bold project. The objective is to offer a citizen space, a rooftop garden, a café, an agora and community halls while enhancing the art-deco architecture of the existing building.  

Built according to the principles of sustainable development, the project stands out for the following performances:

  • Abundant natural light
  • The restoration of a heritage building
  • Interior spaces with thermal and visual comfort
  • Energy savings estimated at 16% compared to the code reference case
  • High-performance glazing; Geothermal energy to achieve better energy performance

LEED Certification Management - Our mandate :

  • Supporting professionals and the client in the LEED certification process
  • Credit tracking and document management through an integrated web tool
  • Integration of LEED requirements into construction documents
  • Mobilization of the general contractor for control and management plans
  • Quality control during the construction site; Assembly of the final file and follow-up for the audit
